General Policy Statement

Overview

Lango Africa Limited conducts safaris, day excursions, beach getaways, and comprehensive private safaris and tour packages in Tanzania. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully as they apply when you enter into a contract with Lango Africa Limited.

The terms and conditions may be altered from time to time due to changing circumstances. The terms in in effect at the time of booking, however, remain unchanged. In general, conditions in Africa are not comparable to those in developed countries, and service, medical facilities, safety, and security may be inferior to those in your native country. Please remember that the laws and regulations of the nation where services are offered apply to your holiday plans.

Amendments

All safari itineraries are subject to availability and are not guaranteed unless confirmed. If the scheduled accommodation is fully booked, we will present you with a suitable alternative in the same or higher price range (Surcharges may be applicable). If the alternative available travel services are not suitable to you, we will issue a complete refund. We strongly advise scheduling well in advance, especially during high season (mid-June to mid-October, and November to December), to manage expectations and avoid disappointments.

Lango Africa Limited reserves the right to amend and re-adjust the safari itinerary, transportation, housing, and services in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. Any changes will be communicated as soon as reasonably possible.

Booking Confirmation

We will email you an official booking form once you have confirmed your bespoke safari proposal. Please fill out this form and email it back to us. When booking your safari with Lango Africa Limited, you must have valid travel insurance.

Once we receive your completed booking form, we will make reservations for hotels, excursions, and, if applicable, domestic flights. We will send you an invoice once all travel services have been reconfirmed. Once all travel services applied to your schedule have been approved, the invoice will also serve as your booking confirmation.

Payment Terms

A deposit of 30% of the total invoice amount is required within 14 days of the invoice date. The balance is required eight weeks (56 days) before arrival. For bookings made within 56 days of departure, the full amount of the invoice must be paid immediately. We will email you a confirmation after the funds have been received in our bank account. Please keep in mind that the sender is responsible for any bank transfer fees.

The invoice can be paid in either US dollars or Euros. If the currency rate change by more than 5% before payment is made, the (remaining) payment will be modified proportionately. If the total amount surpasses USD $25, we may opt to raise the deposit rate.

If the payment deadline is missed, you will receive a courteous reminder. If we do not receive your payment, we reserve the right to cancel your trip and charge you a cancellation fee of 30% of the entire sum.

Cancellation Policy

Please email us as soon as possible if you need to cancel your vacation. All cancellations will take effect on the date we receive your cancellation request. The following are the cancellation fees:

Please NOTE: There will be no refunds for unused services, late arrivals, or no-shows.

Unanticipated Events

If Lango Africa is affected by a force majeure event, which includes but is not limited to explosions, floods, tempests, fires, accidents, war or threat of war, sabotage, terrorism, civil disturbance or requisition, sickness, quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions, or other outward occurrences, we will notify you immediately of the nature and extent of the occurrence. These terms may not be violated or abused by the company.

If you receive a refund as a result of a company’s failure to perform, we shall make reasonable attempts to compensate you. We will, however, be entitled to deduct the reasonable actual and potential expenses of the unforeseen circumstances to the company from any reimbursement recoverable.

Insurance Policy

When traveling with us, you must have comprehensive travel insurance. We recommend that our clients cover this against safari cancellation. If you currently have travel insurance, double-check your coverage before booking your safari to guarantee appropriate preparations and adjustments. Please bear in mind that we can only handle ground transportation arrangements and cannot book your foreign flight.

Transport

Although every attempt is taken to offer safari vehicles in roadworthy condition, no liability can be assumed for a puncture, breakdown, damage, or delay caused by bad road conditions in our National Parks. We only allow guides to drive company vehicles, and their decision on all subjects, including the route traveled, is final.

During Your Safari

Given considerations such as season, time, and unrestricted movement of wildlife, we cannot guarantee wildlife or game viewing. When viewing the wildlife, you must use caution, such as keeping a safe distance, and attentively follow the other recommendations of the tour guide or wildlife rangers.

Complaints

Any concerns must be notified instantly to the Lango Africa’s guide (or to the company’s head office using the company contacts provided to you) or to our suppliers, who will do everything in their power to fix the situation. If the problem is not handled to your satisfaction, you must submit a written complaint within 7 days of the tour’s completion, or you can fill out your concerns on the Safari Evaluation Form, which will be delivered to you at the end of your safari by our driver guide. 

It is critical to us that our services continue to fulfill our clients’ ever-changing requirements. At the end of their trip, every one of our guests completes an evaluation. Responsibility cannot be accepted for complaints that are not reported in accordance with the procedures stated herein.

Liability

While Lango Africa will take all reasonable precautions when dealing with you, our valued visitor, and your possessions, we cannot be held accountable for personal property loss or damage, bodily injury, or death. It is consequently important to obtain comprehensive travel insurance when traveling. Before you travel, you should get a general health checkup and see your doctor to see if it is safe for you to travel and participate in activities such as those listed on your itinerary.

Tanzania Tourist’s Visa

You must obtain your Tanzanian Tourist Visa on your own. We recommend that you apply for your visa through the Tanzania Immigration website or through the Tanzania Embassy in your country.

Rights Of Website User

As a website user, Lango Africa allows you access to read, download, and print the content so long as you use it for private, personal, educational, and/or non-commercial purposes only. Without the express written consent of Lango Africa Tours Company, users may not use or exploit content from this website for commercial or non-private interests. We promise to take all reasonable and necessary steps to protect your personal information.
